Prathyardhi, starring Ravi Varma Aduri and Akshata Sonawane in the lead roles, has hit screens today. Let’s check how the movie is.

Story:

SI Krishna Prasad (Ravi Varma Aduri) investigates the missing case of Vijay Kumar and ignores his family to solve the case. What are the problems the police officer faced during the investigation? Did he find the accused? Who is Siva (Rohit Behal) and how is he connected with the case? All the answers will be revealed in the main film.

Plus Points:

Director Shankar Mudavat has showcased how some police officers use commoners for their growth in their careers. The major highlight is the way Shankar showcased the crime drama in a suspenseful manner. The director maintained the suspense till the end by not revealing the murderer. Though it’s his debut, the director narrated it in an interesting manner. The way he narrated the second half in a twisty manner is impressive.

Rohit Behal impresses with his performance, especially in the suspense and emotional scenes. Ravi Varma also delivered the finest performance. Heroines Akshata Sonawane and Neelima Pathakamsetti look glamorous. Tagubothu Ramesh and others also performed well in the given roles.

Minus Points:

This kind of emotional crime thriller works out well when it has an engaging screenplay that makes audiences excited from beginning to ending. Though the film has such incidents, they look cinematic. The director should have written a better screenplay to make the scenes more thrilling.

Some of the scenes in the first half are illogical. The story is interesting in the beginning and runs at a slow pace by including unnecessary scenes. Also, the score could have been better to make the thriller a better film.

Technical Aspects:

In terms of technical values, the movie is decent and the camerawork needs to be appreciated. DOP Rakesh Gowd thrills the audience with his finest work. The direction is also neat but the director could have engagingly written the story. Editing is crisp.

Verdict:

On the whole, Prathyardhi is a neat crime thriller that works in parts. Some of the scenes are illogical and the characteristics of the lead actors are not up to the mark. The climax twist is interesting. You can give the film a watch this week if you are a fan of emotional crime thrillers only.
