Dhurandhar

Bollywood’s blockbuster Dhurandhar continues its record-setting run at the box office, showing no signs of slowing down. The espionage thriller, headlined by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, has now emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025.

On day 18, the film collected a solid Rs. 19.7 crore nett, taking its total earnings to an impressive Rs. 598.90 crore nett. In the process, Dhurandhar has overtaken Pushpa 2, becoming the only Indian film to cross Rs. 100 crore gross in its third week. The film recorded a third-week gross of Rs. 119.5 crore.

What makes the achievement stand out further is that the figure Pushpa 2 achieved in a full week in the Hindi belt has been matched by Dhurandhar in just four days, reflecting its strong and sustained audience pull.

With the Christmas and New Year holidays ahead, the film is expected to continue its strong run, with more milestones likely to follow. Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film features a strong supporting cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt.

Dhurandhar And Avatar

Could you believe it? An Indian film on its fifteenth day has outperformed the third installment of a popular Hollywood franchise. Yes, what you read is true. The latest Bollywood mega-blockbuster Dhurandhar on its day 15 earned more than Avatar: Fire and Ash did on its opening day in India.

The buzz hasn’t been great for Avatar: Fire and Ash since the beginning, whereas Dhurandhar is going bonkers at the Indian box office, creating new records every day. On its third Friday, Dhurandhar earned around Rs. 24–25 crore nett, while Avatar: Fire and Ash could manage to rake in only about Rs. 20 crore nett.

For context, Avatar: The Way of Water opened with Rs. 40 crore nett in India, and the third chapter’s opening-day numbers have dropped by a massive 50%. Going forward, things are likely to get tougher for Avatar: Fire and Ash in India. The reviews are mixed as well, and the visual spectacle has already started to face stiff competition from the Indian spy action thriller.
