Janhvi Kapoor is on a roll these days as she is bagging back-to-back biggies. After being a part of NTR’s Devara, she has signed Ram Charan’s next with Buchi Babu Sana which will soon go on floors.
Well, speaking in a recent interview, Janhvi revealed that she is busy prepping for the dialogues from the film. “I just received my dialogues and I want to learn them as soon as possible. I don’t want to talk in English and speak only Telugu for the next few days” says Janhvi.
Janhvi plays the role of Thangam and will be seen as a village belle in Devara. She is super excited to work with NTR and has manifested this film for a long time. Now that she is set to shoot the talkie part, Janhvi wants to go all out.
Koratala Siva directs this film which also marks the south debut of Saif Ali Khan. Anirudh composes the music for this film. Watch this space for more.
RRR is India’s biggest film to date and is being awaited with bated breath as it is directed by Rajamouli and has NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgan in key roles. Everyone wants to watch the film and the advanced bookings have been great. Let’s look at the current situation of bookings across its areas of release.
AP-Nizam
As RRR is a straight Telugu film, the advanced bookings in Telugu states are excellent. Tickets are being sold out like hotcakes and most of the shows over the weekend have been sold out in both Nizam and AP. The trade is also expecting record numbers on day one seeing the current state of bookings in Telugu states.
Hindi market
Rajamouli is a big name in Indian cinema and that was proved with the massive collections of Baahubali 2. Naturally, the expectations were huge for RRR. But sadly, the advance bookings are quite poor. The booking is happening on a dull note in various regions of north India. As per the trade, the film will take a normal start at the box office tomorrow. RRR needs a blockbuster talk for the bookings to grow over the weekend.
Malayalam and Tamil
NTR and Ram Charan are big stars in the south but when it comes to the advanced bookings, the situation is just about okay and the tickets are being sold on a slow and steady note. But the bookings in Chennai are solid and the trade is expecting a record number for a Telugu film in the city.
Karnataka
The advanced bookings in the state of Karnataka are also solid. As the pre-release event was held in Karnataka, there is a good buzz that has been created. But the general complaint in the state is that more Telugu shows are being aired than the Kannada version. With the good mouth talk, extra shows in Kannada will also be added.
US Market
From day one, the buzz for RRR has been great in the US. The advanced bookings for the premiere shows in Telugu have already crossed 2.5 million which is a record in itself. But the bookings for Hindi and other languages are quite poor. Once the mouth talk grows, the collections will surely grow over the weekend.
All in all, the fate of RRR will depend on the mouth talk that the film will get on the first day. If the film meets all expectations, then there will be no looking back for Rajamouli and his team.
