Least Eligible Bachelor is the latest Telugu comedy series featuring Harsha Chemudu in the lead role. The six-episode show is now streaming on both ETV Win and Netflix. Check out our review to see if the series is worth your time.

Story:

Teja (Harsha Chemudu) is a naive village guy whose father constantly pesters him to get married. Later, he moves to Hyderabad in search of a job and a partner. He eventually joins an office where Madhu (Aishwarya Holakkal), an independent woman dreaming of moving to the US, happens to be his superior. An unexpected turn of events pushes the two into a live-in arrangement under the same roof. The rest of the show tracks how their relationship unfolds and whether they end up together.

Plus Points:

Harsha Chemudu leads the show with a sincere, grounded performance. He does not rely on heavy dialogues, using his expressive reactions and blank looks to land easy laughs. The innocence he brings to the role also works nicely during the emotional scenes later on. He manages the balance between light comedy and drama quite well.

Sri Vidhya Gnanakumar steals the spotlight whenever she appears on screen. Her unfiltered attitude, comedic timing, and scenes with Jeevan Reddy and Hyper Aadi keep the episodes lively. Her energy ensures the middle portion stays breezy without hitting a dull patch.

Hyper Aadi is equally fun, delivering sharp one-liners that land effortlessly. Jeevan Reddy is relatable as the corporate boss, bringing plenty of laughs for office-goers. Supporting actors like Roopa Shravya and Prem Sagar Rajulapati do justice to their brief appearances.

Aishwarya Holakkal brings a confident, modern presence to the role of the team lead. She keeps her acting natural without going over the top in the dramatic moments. Along with the laughs, the emotional beats in the final episodes try to lend a little heart to the romance.

Minus Points:

The core storyline is routine. While the jokes keep the early episodes moving, the narrative runs out of steam as it progresses. Several scenes in the latter half feel needlessly stretched just to fill the six-episode runtime.

While the humour works well in the initial stretch, a few gags fall flat in the later portions. The pacing drops noticeably toward the end, and the predictable writing makes you wish the story wrapped up faster. A tighter screenplay would have helped maintain the early momentum.

The writing also misses out on exploring the workplace setting more effectively. Everyday office banter, casual gossips, and quirky team situations could have generated far more natural humour. Instead, the story merely brushes against the corporate backdrop before shifting focus.

Technical Aspects:

Director Babu Degala, known for his work on Jabardasth, handles the comedic sequences reasonably well. Shakthi Arvind’s camera work is clean and captures the urban backdrop neatly. Ajay Arasada’s background score complements the lighthearted tone of the show. Likhith Lee’s editing needed to be crisper in the closing episodes, while the production values are just about adequate.

Verdict:

On the whole, Least Eligible Bachelor is a passable comedy series that makes for an easy weekend watch. While the storyline is routine, the steady flow of laughs keeps things entertaining throughout. Decent performances from Harsha and Aishwarya, along with hilarious comedy tracks from Sri Vidhya and Hyper Aadi, serve as the major highlights. Despite a sluggish stretch in the later episodes, the clean humour makes it well worth streaming.
