The Film Chamber has 3,355 members from four sectors – Producers, Distributors, Exhibitors, and Studios. Elections are being held to choose the President, Secretary, and 32 executive committee members. This time, the President will be elected from the Exhibitors sector.
The contest is mainly between two panels. The Progressive Panel has drawn attention, with strong backing from Allu Aravind, Dil Raju, and Suresh Babu.
The rival Mana Panel is supported by small producers, with C. Kalyan, Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, and Prasanna Kumar backing it.
The Film Chamber elections are held once every two years, and today’s outcome is expected to play an important role in shaping the industry’s future.
