Kannappa

Vishnu Manchu’s ambitious project Kannappa recently hit the big screens and garnered a moderate response at the box office. While the theatrical run may not have set records, curiosity around its digital release has been steadily building.

During the film’s promotional phase, Vishnu revealed that he had deliberately held off on selling the streaming rights before the release. Instead, he chose to negotiate with platforms after gauging the film’s performance. Now, strong reports suggest that Kannappa is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 25, 2025, though an official confirmation is still awaited.

If this date holds true, Kannappa will join the growing list of Tollywood films making their way to OTT within a one-month window after theatrical release.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the mythological action drama features an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, and Akshay Kumar.

The film is produced by Mohan Babu under the banner of Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures, with music composed by Stephen Devassy.
