Raju Weds Rambai OTT

The latest romantic drama Raju Weds Rambai created a sensation at the box office, emerging as a surprise hit. The film particularly enjoyed a strong run in the Nizam territory. Akhil Raj Uddemari and Tejaswini played the lead roles in this Saailu Kaampati-directed flick.

The movie recently made its OTT debut on ETV Win. While audiences have begun enjoying this hard-hitting film on the small screens, one aspect has turned out to be a major disappointment. Ever since the OTT premiere date was announced, the makers promoted that an extended cut of the film would be available on the digital platform.

However, to the shock of viewers, only about one minute of additional footage has been added to the OTT version compared to the theatrical runtime. Many expected multiple new sequences, and this has understandably left audiences disappointed.

Set against the Telangana backdrop, Raju Weds Rambai features Chaitu Jonnalagadda as the antagonist, with Shivaji Raja and Anita Chowdary in key roles. The film is produced by noted director Venu Udugula under the Dholamukhi Subaltern Films banner. Suresh Bobbili composed the tunes.

This week promises to be a treat for Telugu OTT audiences, with exciting content lined up for release. A total of five new Telugu titles (original), including movies and a show, are set to arrive. Let’s take a look at what’s in store.

Raju Weds Rambai:

This small-budget romantic drama created a sensation at the box office. Directed by newcomer Saailu Kaampati, the film stars Akhil Raj Uddemari and Tejaswi Rao in lead roles. The movie is now streaming on ETV Win. Chaitu Jonnalagadda played the villain. Raju Weds Rambai benefited from its rural setting, performances, and the shock factor in the climax.

Premante:

Priyadarshi is a rom-com entertainer that stars Priyadarshi and Anandhi in the lead roles. The movie couldn’t leave a mark at the box office, but it is expected to do well on OTT. The movie will start streaming on Netflix from December 19, 2025, in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. Navaneeth Sriram is the director.

Santhana Prapthirasthu:

This bold Telugu film, featuring Vikranth and Chandini Chowdary in the lead roles, explores the issue of male infertility in an entertaining way. Directed by Sanjeev, the film will make its OTT debut on December 19 on Amazon Prime Video and Jio Hotstar. Santhana Prapthirasthu too didn’t click in theatres, and is set to test its luck on OTT.

Divyadristi:

This suspense thriller starring Sunil, Isha Chawla, and Kamal Kamaraju is headed for a direct digital release on Sun NXT. The web film directed by Kabir Lal will start streaming from December 19. The promo suggests that the film tells the story of a blind girl, played by Isha Chawla, as she navigates a series of challenges.

Nayanam:

Noted Telugu actor Varun Sandesh makes his OTT debut with this web series, which is a psychological thriller. The six-episode show directed by Swathi Prakash will start streaming from December 19 on ZEE5. Bigg Boss fame Priyanka Jain plays the female lead. This Varun Sandesh starrer is about a crazy doctor who gets special powers and misuses them to kill innocent people.
