Rishab Shetty’s much-anticipated film Kantara: Chapter 1 registered solid collections over the weekend. Yesterday, the film enjoyed its biggest single day at the box office. While the Kannada version’s performance is outstanding, the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam versions are also faring well, bringing joy at the ticket windows.

In its four-day extended first weekend, Kantara: Chapter 1 earned a stupendous Rs. 335 crores gross. The film recorded the second biggest first weekend numbers in Sandalwood and is only behind the mighty KGF 2. Today’s hold at the Karnataka box office is nothing short of a sensation.

The action spectacle with divine elements is expected to post magnificent numbers till Diwali. Produced by Hombale Films, headed by Vijay Kiragandur, the movie also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram in prominent roles. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the tunes.

Kantara Chapter 1 is the recently released pan-Indian film, with Rishab Shetty playing a dual role as actor and director. Rukmini Vasanth is the female lead.

In the Hindi belt, the movie has been performing well, with each day registering higher numbers than the previous one. On Sunday, it collected around Rs. 23 crore nett, surpassing Saturday’s collection of Rs. 20 crore.

With this, the first weekend collection touched the Rs. 75 crore nett mark, and the Rs. 100 crore milestone is just a few days away. The movie is performing well globally, and the real test begins today (Monday).

Since no big releases are scheduled this week, Kantara Chapter 1 has a huge opportunity to make more revenue. Hombale Films bankrolled it, and Ajaneesh Loknath is the composer.
