SS Rajamouli

With the biggest multistarrer RRR, Indian cinema’s master storyteller SS Rajamouli has undeniably achieved global recognition. It is known to all that world-renowned filmmakers like Steven Spielberg and James Cameron shared their excitement about the Ram Charan and NTR starrer, which created quite a sensation back then.
As part of the promotions for Avatar: Fire and Ash, a.k.a Avatar 3, an exciting crossover featuring James Cameron and SS Rajamouli took place through a special video chat. During the interaction, James Cameron expressed his desire to visit the sets of SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi, and this statement is now going viral on social media.

When Cameron asked Rajamouli about the shooting progress, the latter replied that the tent-pole film has been in production for over a year and would be completed in another seven to eight months. The Titanic director jokingly added that if there was any scene involving tigers or similar elements, Rajamouli should definitely inform him so they could meet.

James Cameron said, “I think you are shooting for a while on the film Varanasi, right?” Rajamouli replied, “Yes, sir, it’s almost a year now, and still seven to eight months to go. We are in the middle of the shoot.” James Cameron then responded, “Hoo, that’s plenty of time. Well, tell me when you are doing something fun. I don’t know, something with tigers.”

Rajamouli said that Cameron visiting the Varanasi sets would be an absolute pleasure, not just for the movie team but for the entire industry. James Cameron also stated that he would love to operate the camera and shoot some second-unit shots for Rajamouli. This interesting and light-hearted conversation between the two legendary filmmakers has quickly become the talking point on social media.
