Interview : Shwetha Basu Prasad- I don’t want to talk about my past

Talented actress Shwetha Basu Prasad, has gone through a lot in the recent past. Leaving all her controversies behind, Shwetha is making a comeback with a special song in the upcoming film Intelligent Idiots. We caught up with her for a brief chit chat. Let’s see what she has to say.

How did you bag this film ?

Six months back, the makers of this film approached me with the script. My special song comes at a very crucial point in the film, and I was more than happy to accept it.

Did you feel is it right for an actress to do item songs ?

All these things should not matter for an actor. Even if it is an special role or an item number, If you are comfortable doing it why not.

This film is being publicized heavily on your name. Are you ok with it ?

What is wrong with that. I am a part of the film, and if people are coming to the theaters seeing my face, I am more than happy for it.

You have gone though a lot. How has it affected your film career ?

Frankly speaking, I do not want to talk about it anymore, and have left those incidents behind. My focus is currently on my career.

What projects are you doing currently ?

Right now, I am listening to scripts and am busy giving final touches to the documentary which I am currently making on Hindustani Classical music.

What are your future plans ?

I have a couple of films in Bollywood which I will be signing soon. In Telugu, I am looking for good scripts and all those who want to cast me in their films, can reach me directly as I do not have any manger who looks after my work.
