Q. Why have you taken such a long gap after ‘Naayak’?
A. I am going to launch Bellamkonda Suresh’s son Sai as a hero. I have been working on the script for a while. Since it is a debut flick, we are taking a lot of care. “Late ayna parledhu, manchi cinema teeyali”. Bellamkomda garu gave me a career with ‘Aadi’. Therefore, I have a great responsibility to launch his son in the right manner.
Q.When will the film start?
A. Shooting will start from the 20th of this month. Samantha is the heroine and Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music. Other details will be revealed soon.
Q. Will you contest the elections next year?
A. As of now, I have no plans. My family has a political background and I have good relations with many people who are in politics. That is the reason why this speculation started. I can’t say anything about the future.
Q. What kind of films do you like?
A. I personally enjoy watching action films and I enjoy making them too. I also enjoy Maniratnam’s films.
Q. Do you have any plans to make sequels for your past hits?
A. NTR always keeps asking me to consider making Adhurs 2. We are still thinking about it. We will take a call soon.
Q. Will you direct Chiranjeevi’s 150th film?
A. As of now, Chiranjeevi garu is not in a mood to act in films. If he decides to act again, I will be honoured to take it up.
Q. Unlike your contemporaries, you are not experimenting too much..
A. To be quite honest, I am afraid of experiments. I get cold feet when I look at the amount of money invested in the project. Even if I want to make something new, it ends up becoming a safe and routine project after shooting starts.
Q. What are your future plans?
A. After completing this film with Bellamkomda Sai, I want to make a film with newcomers next year.
With that, V.V.Vinayak wrapped up his interaction with the media. We wish you all the very best sir.
