For the past few months, there has been a lot of buzz about Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film. The project gained even more prominence when news broke out that Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna, Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan are going to be part of the project. Although there are rumours that Mahesh Babu might not be part of the project due to lack of dates, Suhasini, wife of Mani Ratnam, has confirmed that the film is right on track.
In a recent interview, Suhasini confirmed that all the four actors are very much part of the project and it’s going to be shot in both Telugu and Tamil. “The film is a spy thriller, on the lines of Bourne Identity and we are planning to start shooting the film in June this year. Apart from Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan, there will be another actress in the film and we are planning to rope in either an Iranian or a Pakistani actress for this role,” Suhasini said.
While details about the project are not clear so far, it will be really interesting if it indeed happens as per the original plan. Given the high project cast and crew associated with the project, the combination itself should make waves in the industry. Let’s wait and see what happens in near future.
