Veteran playback singer, Lata Mangeshkar, demised this morning due to post-Covid complications. Her ardent fans including many celebrities have been mourning her death and India’s popular music director, Maestro Ilaiyaraaja is one among them.
The renowned composer took to Twitter and posted a selfie video of him talking about the late female singer, Lata Mangeshkar. In the heartfelt video, he said, “In the history of Indian film music, for the last six to seven decades, Lata ji mesmerized this world with her divine voice. I am deeply saddened with her passing away and her demise has created a big void in me.”
“I don’t know how I will come out of this. Her demise is going to be a big loss not only to the music fraternity but to the entire world. My deepest condolences to her family, Asha ji, Hridayanath ji, and Usha ji,” concluded the legend. He also shared a few pics of her with him.
Both of them worked together for many movies and in the meantime, Academy Award winner, AR Rahman also posted a tribute video to the Nightingale of India on YouTube.
