Tollywood’s upcoming biggie Varanasi has locked its theatrical release, and we are the first to report that the big-budget film will hit cinemas on April 9, 2027, aiming for a Sri Rama Navami festive release.
Soon after the release date update, the film grabbed attention overseas. The announcement teaser of Varanasi was screened last night (January 5, 2026) at Le Grand Rex in Paris, making it the first Indian film teaser to be screened at the iconic venue.
The makers acknowledged the moment on social media, calling it a proud one and thanking audiences for the strong response from international circles.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film stars Mahesh Babu in the lead, with Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran playing key roles. Varanasi is produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya, while MM Keeravani is composing the music.
