Ektaa Kapoor planned to make the third part of her successful franchise Ragini MMS with Tamannaah Bhatia. Director Sahir Raza was initially brought on board, but the project hit a roadblock due to the director’s scheduling conflicts. Later, Shashanka Ghosh was roped in as the director, and Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan also came on board.
According to a report in Variety India, Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma has been cast in the film for a pivotal role. Tamannaah will apparently share romantic arcs with both Aayush and Junaid, while Nargis Fakhri is set to essay the role of a police officer.
Touted to be a high-concept supernatural thriller, the makers are said to have laid more focus on the supernatural scares this time. The movie is currently in pre-production and is expected to go on floors in July 2026.
