At the success event of Lenin, King Nagarjuna made an interesting observation about Telugu cinema, something many cinephiles have been complaining about for some time. The actor said that the industry is failing to stick to its announced release dates and compared the situation to Christopher Nolan’s epic The Odyssey.
“The release date of The Odyssey was announced one year in advance. Why can’t we announce our release dates well in advance? Even if we announce one, we end up postponing it. I also postponed Lenin. We couldn’t complete the technical work. For Ninne Pelladatha and Annamayya, we had the release copies ready one month in advance,” said Nagarjuna.
He added, “Why are we not able to keep the release copy ready beforehand now? I am posing this question to myself as well. I request that this be implemented for the good of cinema and the industry.”
