The recently launched biopic on legendary singer MS Subbulakshmi has already become a hot topic on social media. The film, starring Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role, was officially launched by Kamal Haasan and received a positive response from many fans.
However, the casting has also sparked debate online. While several moviegoers welcomed Rashmika’s selection, others felt that Vidya Balan would have been an ideal choice for the role.
In fact, edited images of Vidya dressed as MS Subbulakshmi have gone viral on social media. Adding to the discussion, Vidya has often spoken in interviews about her desire to portray the iconic singer on screen.
