Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in the gangster action drama King. Directed by Siddharth Anand of War and Pathaan fame, the movie marks the theatrical debut of Suhana Khan.

According to an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, Phars Films has acquired the overseas distribution rights of King for a mind-blowing Rs. 175 crores, the highest-ever for an Indian film.

It is said to be a Minimum Guarantee (MG) deal, which is quite unusual for Bollywood films. So far, no other Indian film is said to have fetched over Rs. 100 crores on an MG basis.

King was initially supposed to be released overseas by Yash Raj Films, but the deal has now changed hands. Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Raghav Juyal play crucial roles. The biggie releases on December 24, 2026.
