Generally, production houses actively post box-office numbers from day one to keep a film in the headlines. This practice is quite common for star-led films. However, the makers of Jailer 2 have kept mum so far, which both frustrated and surprised fans.

The makers finally shared the collection poster today, stating that Jailer 2 earned over Rs. 549 crores in its first week, the highest ever for a Tamil film (week 1). Jailer 2 is expected to cross 2.0 and emerge as the new industry hit of Kollywood very soon.

Interestingly, the trade estimates for Jailer 2 turned out to be higher than the official figure. Produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 also features Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mithun Chakraborty, Ramya Krishnan, and Namo Narayana in vital roles. Anirudh composed the tunes.

Icon Star Allu Arjun became the first big star from Tollywood to applaud Rajinikanth’s blockbuster Jailer 2. He called the action drama a true showcase of Rajini’s star power, swag, and aura. Allu Arjun felt that the commercial entertainer kept the adrenaline pumping throughout.

He further wrote, “Brother… @anirudhofficial KILLED IT! All the artists, technicians & the producer (Sun Pictures) have poured their hearts into this film. The Showman @Nelsondilpkumar garu delivers the coolest hit with a BANG! చొక్కా నలగకుండా 500 CR+ కొట్టడం ఒక్క రజినీ గారికే సాధ్యం! (Only Rajini garu can score over Rs. 500 crore without getting his shirt wrinkled).”

The star further extended his congratulations to the whole team. Interestingly, Allu Arjun’s next film, Raaka, is being produced by Sun Pictures. The fantasy action drama is helmed by Atlee and features Deepika Padukone as the female lead.

Prabhas fans have a special reason to celebrate his birthday, as Fauzi is gearing up to offer a poster tonight and a teaser tomorrow.

The promotional content is expected to give audiences a much-needed glimpse into the film, which has been in the making for a considerable time.

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi features Prabhas in the lead role, with Imanvi playing the female lead. Despite the excitement surrounding the project, very little is known about its storyline and overall scale.

Everything now depends on the teaser and the clarity surrounding its release date. If the promotional material impresses audiences, the film could gain fresh buzz and build strong expectations.
