A major controversy has emerged from Bollywood after reports surfaced about the ongoing dispute around Farhan Akhtar’s much-anticipated film Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh.

According to reports, Farhan Akhtar allegedly rejected Ranveer Singh’s remuneration structure, which included a ₹10 crore signing fee and a ₹25 crore adjusted offer during negotiations for the project.

The disagreement is said to have contributed to the actor’s exit from the film, which later escalated into a larger industry issue involving compensation claims and union intervention.

The fallout reportedly resulted in financial losses for the production house, with claims suggesting that around ₹40–45 crore was spent during pre-production activities such as location scouting, crew planning, and overseas schedules.

Following Ranveer Singh’s exit, the matter was taken up by industry bodies, leading to a ban of three years on Ranveer by FWICE, sparking widespread debate in the film fraternity.

All the release issues surrounding Ram Charan’s Peddi in Nizam have been cleared. Nizam exhibitors, who were initially reluctant to release the film under the rental system and demanded a percentage-sharing model, have now moved out of the way, ensuring a smooth release.

Earlier this week, exhibitors met industry stalwart Megastar Chiranjeevi to discuss the issue. Following Chiranjeevi’s assurance, the exhibitors agreed not to create any further hurdles for the release of Peddi. Megastar will regularly monitor the meetings of the subcommittee formed by the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce regarding the implementation of the percentage system.

The new revenue-sharing model will be implemented from July 3, and the roadmap regarding the terms will be finalized by June 30. The focus now shifts to permissions from the governments for ticket price hikes and premiere shows.

Arjun Das, who earned immense love for his roles in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi and Vikram, was last seen in the Telugu action drama They Call Him OG. Ahead of his next film Con City releasing next month, the actor has found himself in the news for an entirely different reason.

Although the origins remain unknown, rumours quickly went viral across social media claiming that the actor is getting engaged later this week in a private ceremony. As multiple media outlets picked up the story, the news spread like wildfire, eventually prompting the actor to address the speculation.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Arjun Das clarified the situation by sharing a post that carried the rumour and reacting to it with “LOL” emojis to laugh off the claims. Fans can rest assured that no such ceremony is taking place, as the viral news appears to be completely baseless.

On the work front, Arjun Das remains busy with a lineup of exciting cinematic projects. His upcoming film Con City is scheduled to hit theaters next month in both Tamil and Telugu, while his long-delayed romantic drama Once More is also awaiting its official release date.
