Young hero Roshan Kanakala’s love and action entertainer Mowgli has turned out to be a profitable venture within the first week of its release. Made with a modest budget, the film raced past its breakeven target and has entered the profit zone as it is about to enter week two.

Mowgli stands as another example of how content-driven, smaller-budget projects can garner both critical appreciation and commercial success. The film reportedly recovered its investment through a mix of theatrical collections and non-theatrical deals.

Roshan Kanakala’s intense performance has earned wide praise, marking his first solid success as a leading man. Directed by Sandeep Raj and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, the film also features young actress Sakshi Mhadolkar and Bandi Saroj Kumar in key roles.

Sandalwood superstar Shiva Rajkumar will be seen in a lead role in legendary Telangana politician Gummadi Narsaiah’s biopic. To be made in Telugu and Kannada, the film was formally launched in the presence of several prominent political leaders in Palwancha.

Speaking on the occasion, Shiva Rajkumar expressed his gratitude to the film’s makers and went on to say that he is learning Telugu for the movie and that he will dub for his role in Telugu. He further said that he is proud and blessed to be playing such a noble man in his biopic. He added that the biopic will be an inspiration to today’s politicians.

The Gummadi Narsaiah biopic is being directed by Parameshwar Hivrale and produced by N Suresh Reddy under his Pravallika Arts Creations banner. The film will be released sometime in 2026. It’s well known that Shiva Rajkumar will also be seen in a crucial role in Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Peddi.
