Actor Naga Shaurya’s upcoming film Bad Boy Karthik is gearing up for release. The action-packed entertainer marks the directorial debut of Raam Desina.

On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, the makers officially announced the film’s release date. Bad Boy Karthik is set to hit theatres on April 17, 2026, with promotions expected to begin soon.

Vidhi plays the female lead, while Samuthirakani, Sr Naresh, Saikumar, Vennela Kishore, Mime Gopi, and Sridevi Vijaykumar appear in key roles.

On the technical front, Rasool Ellore handles cinematography, and Harris Jayaraj makes his comeback to Telugu cinema as the music composer. Art direction is by Ramanjaneyulu, with editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.

Director Maruthi’s last outing, The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, failed at the box office, leaving fans disappointed and drawing considerable criticism toward the director.

After a gap of two months, Maruthi took to X and said that every journey is a learning experience. On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, he expressed gratitude for being able to give the final touches to his next script with divine blessings.

He further stated that he would put in his best efforts and strive to earn the audience’s appreciation and support.

There is now growing curiosity around the project, with many waiting to know its genre, the cast, and the production house backing it.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge has now zoomed past Rs. 690 crores nett in India. The Hindi version alone has earned Rs. 650 crores nett domestically, while the dubbed versions have contributed another Rs. 40 crores nett. The total India gross currently stands at Rs. 814 crores.

In international markets, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has amassed Rs. 274 crores gross. Achieving this feat even without the Gulf market makes it a sensation of sorts. With today’s collections, the film has surpassed the Rs. 1100 crore mark globally. Dhurandhar 2 is the fastest Indian film to achieve the four-digit figure.

Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film is directed by Aditya Dhar. It also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and Danish Pandor in key roles.
