While Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is busy shooting for his upcoming film Peddi, his striking new look on the Esquire India magazine cover, along with an in depth interview, has grabbed fans’ attention.

In the interview, the actor spoke about various aspects of his life, including global recognition with RRR, family, and legacy. Among the highlights was his intense preparation for Peddi, which he revealed took nearly a year and a half.

Charan shared that his preparation included four to five months of dedicated ‘akhada’ (massive) training under a national level coach who had previously worked on films like Sultan and Dangal. Describing the experience, he said the training was “extremely tough.”

Recalling a lighter moment, Charan revealed that he told his coach, “Sirji, main national ke liye nahi ja raha hoon (Sir, I’m not training for the national level),” highlighting the demanding nature of the sessions.

When asked to rate his kushti skills out of ten, the actor modestly gave himself a “4.” He added that his trainer might rate him higher, somewhere between “6 or 8,” but he preferred to keep his own assessment grounded.

The recently released Peddi Pehalwan glimpse further reflects the effort and transformation Charan has put into the role, building strong expectations around the film.
