At the domestic box office, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer collected $330 million during its lifetime. However, his latest directorial, The Odyssey, has overtaken Oppenheimer in just 13 days, a magnificent feat.

By Tuesday, the film had collected a total of $320.5 million, and by Wednesday EOD, The Odyssey will comfortably surpass the lifetime domestic total of the biographical drama. Nolan’s biggest domestic grossers are The Dark Knight ($534.9 million) and The Dark Knight Rises ($448.1 million).

Looking at the trend, The Odyssey is set to emerge as the director’s highest-grossing film at the domestic box office within a few days. Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and Zendaya played key roles. The film is based on Homer’s Greek epic, The Odyssey.

Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya’s romantic drama Chennai Love Story continues to draw crowds to theatres despite the rains. The film is steadily marching towards a strong total at the box office.

Chennai Love Story has sold over 1 million tickets across BookMyShow and District combined, a sensational feat for a mid-range film. With new releases scheduled this week, it remains to be seen how Chennai Love Story fares from here on.

Directed by Ravi Namburii, the film also features Trigun in a pivotal role. SKN and Sai Rajesh jointly bankrolled it under the banners of Mass Movie Makers and Amrutha Productions. Mani Sharma composed the music.
