Published on Aug 3, 2014 8:36 pm IST

Tamanna-
Milk beauty Tamannaah, who made her mark in south, is currently busy in Bollywood. Her upcoming films in Telugu are ‘Aagadu’ and ‘Bahubali’. This talented actress is all excited about her highly anticipated Bollywood film ‘Entertainment’, in which she is featured opposite Akshay Kumar. This film is slated to release on August 8 and on this occasion we caught with Tamannaah for a brief interview. Let’s see what she has to say.

Q) What is the major difference between south and Bollywood promotions?

A) The major difference is that, in south filmmakers allot very less time for promotions where as in Bollywood, they give ample amount of time for promotions. Only through promotions, a film gets a worldwide recognition. This is the reason when I do a Telugu film, I will try to participate in promotions.

Q) Is it true that, you have reduced your south films because of your Bollywood commitments?

A) They are just rumours, I am currently doing ‘Bahubali’ and ‘Aagadu’ in Telugu. Both these films are big budget movies and they require more dates and I am also doing a film in Tamil. Then where is the time to sign other movies.

Q) There are rumours that, you are playing a police officer’s role in ‘Aagadu’, is that true?

A) No, it’s not true that I am doing a police officer’s role. In ‘Aagadu’, I am village girl who owns a sweet shop.

Q) How is it working with Mahesh Babu for the first time?

A) Mahesh is a handsome guy and I feel luck to work with him. I used to ask director Srinu Vaitla that, when Mahesh is looking so handsome, how audience can see me. ‘Aagadu’ will be a feast for Mahesh Babu fans.

Q) Can you please tell us something about ‘Bahubali’? Are you featuring in both the parts?

A) I will be seen in ‘Bahubali’ part one, in which I am playing a warrior princess. This film will be beyond your expectations; you can’t even imagine how they are designing this film. Even though I am acting in it, I have no clue about what Rajamouli is doing. Only, he is the person who has complete clarity about the film.

Q) Did you take any special training for ‘Bahubali’?

A) There is a training section, but it has not yet been started. Only few scenes and a song on me and Prabhas was shot.

Q) What is the reason for doing a special song in ‘Alludu Seenu’? Will you continue this?

A) VV Vinayak and Bellamkonda Suresh are the only the reason for doing this special song. I feel comfortable working with them. Star heroines doing a special song is quite common in Bollywood, but it is new in Tollywood. In future, if I feel comfortable with the director, I am ready to do special songs.

Q) Your previous Bollywood films were not well received, are you feeling discouraged?

A) I work hard for every film, but my last two Bollywood films got bombed at the box office. I can’t do anything for it and I am not disappointed for it. My first 4 Telugu films were also flops, I got a break only with ‘Happy Days’, which happens to be my 5th film. If I would have stopped doing films after initially flops, I wouldn’t have come this long. That is the reason; I won’t take flops very seriously.

Q) In future, will you able to manage doing both south and Bollywood films?

A) I can manage both and to be frank that is my target to manage films in both south and Bollywood. Previously, there used to be no connections between south and Bollywood but now, most of the Bollywood blockbusters are south remakes. In near future, there won’t be any Tollywood, Bollywood, there would be only Indian cinema.

With this we wrapped up our interview wishing her luck for her future films.
