Young Hero Aadi, who has been given the title ‘Lovely Rockstar’, is excited about his upcoming release – ‘Sukumarudu’. The film is all set for a release on May 10th and Aadi is expecting it to give a good boost to his career.
He spoke to media personnel today and shared some of his thoughts.
Q. What are your expectations from the film?
A. I am very excited about Sukumarudu. The film has come out well and there are good expectations amongst us. Director Ashok has done a very good job with the characterisation of all the actors. I have been given a new style of characterization. There are a number of variations in my character.
Q. The film seems to have experienced a lot of delays?
A. About 60 noted actors worked for the film, so things were slightly delayed. But the delay will be worth it. There are many entertaining scenes in the film. For example, I have delivered a famous dialogue of Sr NTR in the film. I have not delivered it as well as NTR garu did, but I think I managed to do a decent job. (Aadi then went on to deliver that lengthy dialogue from the Mayasabha sequence of DVS Karna. He did it well).
Q. Are there any inspirations for your character in the film?
A. I was inspired by Jim Carrey. I have done scenes where humour and sadness need to co-exist simultaneously. They were challenging scenes, but I managed to pull them off in the end.
Q. You seem to prefer Anoop Rubens as a music director..
A. Yes. I really like Anoop’s work. He has been giving me good music and all our films have turned out to be musical hits. I will work with him in future also
Q. What can you tell us about Nisha’s role?
A. Nisha will appear as a village girl in this movie. She is a young and talented actress. Nisha has done a very good job
Q. Any other special attractions for the movie?
A. Superstar Krishna garu and Sarada garu will be special highlights for this movie. Krishna garu has a small but very crucial role in the movie. I am very grateful to him. Sarada garu has done a fantastic job and she is a major asset for the film.
Q. Are you happy with director Ashok’s work?
A. Yes. He is a very good director and he has moulded ‘Pilla Zamindar’ very nicely. In this movie, he has taken special care. In fact, people will talk about the characters and not the actors in this movie after they watch it.
Q. You seem to be fond of dances….
A. Yes. I am a big fan of Chiranjeevi’s dances and he is a big inspiration for me. I grew up wanting to dance like him. In this movie, ‘Sukumarudu Sukumarudu’ song will be a special highlight and this song was choreographed by Baba Bhaskar.
Q. Did your father Sai Kumar watch the film?
A. Dad only listens to the film’s story. He looks at songs. He does not interfere in anything else after that. He watches the film after release.
Q. What are your upcoming projects?
A. I am doing a film in Subbareddy’s direction. About 50% of the shoot has been completed.
Q. What can movie lovers expect from Sukumarudu ?
A. The movie is a clean family entertainer. Youngsters will find the music and the entertainment levels attractive. This is a wholehearted attempt at a ‘swacchamaina Telugu cinema’. So please watch it.
With that, Aadi signed off. Let us wish him the very best for the movie.
