Young and beautiful actress, Rukshar Dhillon is ready with her new film Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam. The promos are out and on this occasion, we caught up with her for an exclusive interview. Here is the transcript.
Hows the response to Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam’s teaser?
The makers have done a very good job with the promotions. First, they build the curiosity as to who the girl is going to be in Vishwak’s life in the film, and now the teaser has also been cut well. I have got a really good response to my role and how I was shown in the teaser.
What kind of a film is Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam?
I cannot dwell much but Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam is a romantic family drama with a good dose of comedy. I play Madhavi, who does not speak much showcases emotions through her eyes. It is a very challenging role and will surely more avenues for me in Telugu.
A word about Vishwak Sen?
He is a very dedicated actor and has come up on his own. I too share a similar graph as I have also made on my own. We had a lovely time on the sets and the audience will surely love our chemistry.
How is Tollywood treating you?
From the time I have done Krishnarjuna Yuddham and ABCD, things have become more organized and there is a lot of teamwork. Telugu films are hogging the limelight and some great work is being done here. The cast and crew of Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam have worked so nicely as a team from day one.
When will the film be released?
We are done with the shoot and are busy with post-production. Depending on the Covid situation, we will announce the date soon. For now, there is a lot of buzz for the film’s music and I am super excited about the same.
Why did you fewer films in spite of being around from 2016?
I have done a few projects but they got stuck due to the Covid situation. Also, I was looking for good films which will challenge me as an actor. After ABCD, I did a few OTT projects as well.
What kind of roles do you want to do in the future?
I am game for all kinds of roles. I feel that after watching me on screen, the audience should take my role back home. Personally, I would love to do a period drama and showcase my acting prowess.
Future Projects?
I have done two OTT shows for Amazon and Lion’s Gate. Also, I have signed one more Telugu film which will be announced soon.
