Manchu Vishnu is on a roll, after the success of Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda. He is now back in the direction of RGV, with the power packed entertainer in Rowdy. This movie is set to release this Friday, and we caught up with Vishnu Manchu for an exclusive interview. Let’s see what he has to say.
Q) What was the major factor to do Rowdy ?
A) Undoubtedly RGV. I always wanted to work with him, and when he narrated the scrip, I grabbed it with both hands.
Q) Tell us something about your role in Rowdy ?
A) For the first time in my career, I play an out and out action oriented role. My character is very aggressive, and will be completely different to what I have done in the past.
Q) How did you manage to match up to Mohan Babu’s standards in a movie with faction backdrop ?
A) I have taken special care for my role, as I had to look confident in front of a seasoned actor like my dad. I took this film as a challenge, and performed my role to the best of my abilities.
Q) What was the best compliment you received once the film got over ?
A) It was from my dad. Once he saw the first copy, he felt extremely proud and congratulated me on my performance.
Q) How was it working with RGV ?
A) Oh! It was an awesome experience working with RGV. He is one of India’s best, and I am privileged to have worked under him. RGV is very clear as to what he wants from his unit, and that is also the reason why we managed to shoot this film in just 45 days.
Q) With Rowdy, you have ventured into distribution. Any particular reason for this ?
A) This is one area which we just started. 24 Frames has decided to make a point that even small budget films get a proper release overseas. More details about how we will go about will be revealed soon.
Q) Tell us about your future projects ?
A) I am doing yet another film with RGV. There are other scripts which I have okayed. I will make an formal announcement once I am done with Rowdy.
Q) Finally, What can we expect from Rowdy ?
A) Rowdy is a power packed action entertainer, with a rich blend of family values and sentiment. Those who want to see an action packed entertainer will be highly thrilled with Rowdy.
