Allu Sirish is a happy man as his latest film, Okka Kshanam has opened to decent response all over. On this occasion, we caught up with Sirish for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.
How is the response to the film?
Touchwood, the response has been good so far. Mainly, my performance is being appreciated a lot and everyone is saying that I have improved a lot when compared to my last film. Compliments like these make me quite happy.
What attracted you towards the film?
My last two films were love stories and as soon as I heard this unique story, I felt this would be the right project for me to take myself to the next level. The freshness and concept of parallel life attracted me big time.
Did your dad and brother get involved in the project?
Allu Arjun did not know much about the story and only saw the film when the first copy was ready. But, my dad made a few changes as soon as he heard the script. Both liked the film very much and appreciated the whole team.
What kind of roles do you want to act in the future?
I am very fond of love stories and family dramas and would like to do films in these genres. At the same time, I am open to roles like which Bunny and Allari Naresh did in Rudrama Devi and Gamyam respectively. For me, the role should be interesting.
About the rising budgets in Tollywood?
I feel that if a film needs a huge budget then it is nothing wrong with spending money. As far as I am concerned, I tell my producers to wrap up the film on minimum days and within a small budget.
Future Projects ?
I have two scripts ready and will take a call soon. I want to work with a new director and will announce the details soon.
