Anil Sunkara, who is one of the producers of 14 Reels Entertainment, has produced Allari Naresh’s James Bond under his alternate production banner AK Entertainments. Directed by Sai Kishore, this movie features Sakshi Chowdary as the female lead. On the eve of the film’s release on the 24th of this month, we caught up with him for a brief interview. Let’s see what he has to say.
Q) Tell us about James Bond movie ?
A) James Bond is an action cum comedy entertainer which will be on the lines of a Sreenu Vaitla film. Family audience will thoroughly enjoy this film. The interesting plot and the characterization of the lead roles will connect well with the movie lovers.
Q) What is the reason behind introducing new filmmakers under your banner?
A) No particular reason but we felt that new directors will come up with fresh subjects and execute them with a new approach. Also, we feel a lot of self satisfaction for introducing new talent to the industry.
Q) Tell us briefly about the director ?
A) Sai Kishore and I share a good rapport from a long time. When he narrated the subject, I felt that this is a fresh script and agreed to move on. After the completion of the movie I felt that he brought a much better output than what he had promised.
Q) Why did you select Allari Naresh for this film?
A) Soon after listening to the script , I felt that Allari Naresh is apt for this film as the role suits him very well. He signed the project as soon as the director narrated the script.
Q) We heard that Anuskha was approached for the heroine role. Is it true?
A) Yes we did approach her but she was busy with a number of projects and couldn’t adjust dates for this film. After considering a lot of names, we confirmed Sakshi Chowdary and she fitted in the role perfectly.
Q) Isn’t risk to release this film during the strong run of Baahubali ?
A) No. We felt that this is the correct time to release our film as there are a number of big releases in the upcoming weeks. With no other major releases in this week, we are hopeful of its good run at the box office.
Q) What are your upcoming projects ?
A)We are currently producing a film under 14 Reels Entertainment banner. Also, we are in talks for a couple of new projects. I will produce a film with Mahesh Babu next year.
