As the Manchu Manoj starrer, Gunturodu is ready for release, we caught up with the film’s director Satya for a brief interview. here is the transcript.
Q)Choosing Manchu Manoj for Gunturodu?
This is a perfect time and subject for Manchu Manoj as he has never done an out and out commercial film like this to date. Manoj’s body language, performance, and emotional outburst will be at peaks in this film which will take him to the next level.
Q)Highlights of the film?
Gunturodu is based on four powerful characters of Kota, Manoj, Rajendra Prasad, and Sampath. The story revolves around them and all the scenes featuring these stars have come quite well. Also, the pre-climax featuring Manchu Manoj’s outburst is yet another highlight.
Q)About Chiranjeevi’s voice over?
We wanted a well-known voice to introduce our key characters in the film. We had specific names but things did not work out until the last minute. That is when Manoj suggested Chiru’s name. We all felt happy and Manoj himself met Chiranjeevi garu personally and got the voice over done.
Q)Manchu family’s reaction?
As I was very confident about the end product, I arranged a preview to the entire Manchu family two weeks back itself. The entire family liked the film and especially Mohan Babu said that he was quite happy to see Manoj in an out and out mass avatar for the very first time.
Q)About Pragya Jaiswal’s role?
Pragya has done a very good role in the film. She is the main key for the first half and holds Manoj’s character throughout this time. Her pairing with Manoj looks quite good in the film and she has done a good job?
Q)Future projects?
Firstly, I feel that the film will be a turning point in my career and bring some decent profits for the producers. I have many stories lined up and will start working on them once I finish the promotions of Gunturodu.
