Comedy King Allari Naresh’s Aa Okkati Adakku is releasing in theatres next week. Malli Ankam is making his directorial debut with this comedy entertainer. Rajiv Chilaka produced it under Chilaka Productions, and this is his first film as a producer. Faria Abdullah is the female lead. Ahead of the release, Faria Abdullah interacted with the media and here is the transcript.

How will your character be in Aa Okkati Adakku? What made you do this film?

I play Shruti in the film. She is a free-spirited girl who doesn’t like a structured life. She keeps saying the same thing from the beginning. But the hero’s character is quite the opposite. He plans everything in life. Though they are poles apart, they will attract each other.

Did you face any challenges playing Shruti’s character?

No. I didn’t face any obstacles. Because I am also the kind of girl who goes with the flow. I connected to the character well. I think this film offered me learning in one way. A few things need to be planned in life. We need to have a vision in life. In this OTT period, audiences prefer to watch content films. Aa Okkati Adakku has very good content.

You rocked in Jathi Rathnalu. How did you feel when you listened to this story?

Most of the humor in Aa Okkati Adakku is situational. There are no jokes or slapstick comedy. The story has the elements to tickle your funny bones. An actor should have comedy timing. Only then can the written material be justified.

How supportive was your director?

He gave me the bound script very much in advance, which pleasantly surprised me. I had my doubts, and we had a lot of discussions regarding the script. He is open to suggestions. He is a very confident and happy human.

Girls’ expectations are very high now, which is one reason marriages are getting delayed. Did you touch upon aspects like these?

Over the years, we have become choosy. It is tough to find a perfect person, and we never know how the other person will be. We are dealing with multiple issues related to marriage. Marriage is not just between two people; it brings together two families.
