A youthful entertainer titled Nachindi Girl Friendu, starring Uday Shankar and Jenifer in lead roles, is up for release on 11th November. Guru Pawan is directing this film, and it is produced by Atluri Narayan Rao under the Sriram Movies banner. Gifton Elias is composing the music. Ahead of the film’s release, we interacted with film director Pawan. Here is the transcript.
How did the film start?
My first film is Idhe Ma Katha which had Srikanth Garu, Bhumika, and Sumanth Ashwin in crucial roles. After that film’s release, we started this project very soon. Uday Shankar made a few good movies in the past, and Aatagadhara Shiva and Mismatch movies proved his acting capability. Nachindi Girl Friendu would also remain a different film in his career.
Going by the title, the film looks like a love story. How is it going to be?
This is not just a regular love story. It is a love story backed by thrilling elements that happens in Vizag. It can also be termed a road journey film. Uday’s character in the film will make a girl fall for him if he likes her. He will come across the female lead in traffic and makes her win his love. Uday’s acting will be good in this given role.
Can you tell us more about the film’s lead actress?
Heroine Jenifer Emmanuel previously acted in a small film before Nachindi Girl Friendu. But we can say that this is her actual debut film. She worked in the way we wanted. She struggled in the hot sun during the shoot. The best thing about her is that she didn’t create any problems during the shooting. She will get a very good name through this film.
What is more special about the film?
We are depicting something that has yet to be shown in any film through Nachindi Girl Friendu. Without our knowledge, we will have investment apps on our mobiles. So we tried to showcase what if something wrong happens with these apps and how badly people across the nation would suffer due to it. The main lead will solve the issue in his own style, and we linked this aspect with the love story.
What about the support you got from your unit?
To bring the story to the big screen as I expected, producer Atluri Narayan Rao Garu gave me a lot of support. Not even one day have we faced any issues. The movie will have high technical values. Manohar’s cinematography and Gifto’s music will be the main attraction. Also, Srikanth Iyengar and Madhunandhan’s roles will be key to this story, and we hope the film will do well, which is releasing on 11th November.
