Talented hero Manchu Manoj’s Gunturodu is gearing up for a grand release on March 3rd. On this occasion, we had a small chat session with him. Here is the transcript.
Q) Any specific reason for the delay in the film’s release?
A) Initially, we planned to release the movie on February 24th. As we didn’t get sufficient theaters, we took time and decided to come on March 3rd.
Q) Tell us about your character in the movie?
A) Am doing a full-fledged mass role in this movie. In one word, my role will be as hot as Guntur Mirchi.
Q) Your previous experimental movie didn’t give you fruitful result. Are you ready to do those kind of movies again?
A) Definitely, I will do. As of now, I did this movie only to get a good commercial hit. I love to do films like Prayanam, Vedam and Nenu Meeku Telusa.
Q) Tell us about your director Sathya?
A) He is a talented director. I just followed what he said and I’m confident that the audience will love this movie for sure.
Q) Tell us about the action episodes in this film?
A) We followed a correct meter in designing action episodes. Mainly, the sequences which come between me and Sampath garu will be very fresh and engaging.
Q)Tell us about heroine Pragya?
A) She is a very good co-star. Pragya used to be very active on the sets and we all worked together with a positive attitude for the film.
Q) A few words about your next project, Okkadu Migiladu?
A) It will also be a very good action entertainer. Director Ajay has worked hard for the film. I did the role of LTTE Prabhakaran in this film. War scenes which come in the climax will attract the audience to the core.
Q) Will the film lead to any controversy?
A) No, we just showcased how Prabhakaran emerged as a Leader for Tamilians, who were suffering in Sri Lanka. There will be two stories running paralelly with some true incidents happened between 1990 and 2017.
Q) Are you planning to do any movies in Tamil?
A) Yes, I will be starting a bilingual project from May. Actually, I’m planning to remake Gunturodu in Tamil and I will take a decision soon.
