Maruthi’s Sailajaeddy Alludu is ready for a release this 13th of September. On this occasion, we caught up with him for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.

Why have you chosen the same old Atta-Alludu concept for this film?

Many are mistaken that Sailajreddy Alludu is the routine Atta-Alludu rivalry where everyone keeps challenging each other. In fact, the film is all about how Chay finally becomes the Alludu of Sailaja Reddy by winning her heart. The film is a feel-good family entertainer which everyone will love.

Does the hero have any disorder in the film?

There are no disorders for any characters in the film. I have kept those concepts aside for the time being and maybe after a year or so, will come back with a film which has another disorder.

What kind of changes did you make to Chay in a mass image?

You will see a completely new Chay in this film. Until now, he was quite silent and subdued in all his films. But in our film, he will be showcased in a very active manner. Chay on his behalf has also changed his body language and performed in a very settled manner.

What is the conflict point in the film?

The film is all about how a soft-hearted guy like Chay survives between two egoistic characters like his girlfriend and would be Attha. Chay was the perfect choice for the film as he is a person who is simple and has a lot of patience in real life too.

Reason behind choosing Anu Emanuel?

The moment I narrated her the role, Anu said that the role was quite close to her real-life character. She is very egoistic in the film and does not comprise on an easy note. As it is a film, I have doubled the dose and showcased her in a realistic manner.

About Vennela Kishore’s role in the film?

He is doing a crucial role in the film. His track has been written in a very funny manner and his comedy episodes in the second half will be hilarious.

Future Projects?

I have films lined up with UV Creations, Geetha Arts and Mahesh’s sister Manjula. Very soon I will start writing for one my new films.
