Allari Naresh’s new movie Ugram, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, is up for a grand release in theaters on May 5, 2023. On this occasion, we met with the actress Mirnaa for a brief interview. Here is the transcript.

Tell us about your journey as an actress
Basically, I am a developer and started my profession in Dubai and came back to Kerala again. But, I always dreamt to be an actress and one day I got an opportunity to work with Ameer sir for Santhana Devan. That’s the biggest project in my life. Later, I did Big Brother with Mohanlal garu and followed by Burqaa, Crazy Fellow and now Ugram.

What made you want to be a part of Ugram?
When I was shooting for Jailer, I got the opportunity to work for Ugram. I love director Vijay Kanakamedala’s thought processing and his film Naandhi made me sign this project (Ugram) without any second thought. It takes me no time to give my nod after his narration. Moreover, I totally loved my character in this movie.

Tell us about your character in the movie
My character in Ugram is challenging as it has different shades. I will be seen as a 20-year-old college student, and also a mother to a 3-year-old baby. I loved the character arc as it is growing through the script. So, I took up the challenge and accepted to play the role. My character has lengthy dialogues and equal importance with Naresh garu.

Working experience with actors Aadi and Naresh
I worked with Aadi and Naresh garu. They are different kind of talented actors. They both handled comedy well and also started doing serious roles. As a person, they are so good and I have a great professional friendship with them.

Work experience with Vijay Kanakamedala
He is the director of different thought processes. He has a good ideology and is also a talented writer. I am a big fan of his screenplay. He is a good editor as well. He is a man of perfectionism and works hard for the output he wants.

Future Projects
As of now, I am doing another movie with Ameer sir. The Tamil movie script is penned by Vetrimaaran sir. Later, I have a Malayalam movie to finish and then will think of doing a Telugu film.
