Natural Star Nani’s ‘Hi Nanna’ movie is up for release this Thursday. Debutant Shouryuv is the director. Ahead of the release, the film’s leading lady, Mrunal Thakur, interacted with the press, sharing her thoughts about the film. She played Yashna in this emotional drama, and here is the transcript.
What inspired you to be part of Hi Nanna?
After Sita Ramam, the audience wanted to see me in diverse roles. I focused on roles that are close to my heart. Hi Nanna has a beautiful story. I believe audiences will fall in love with the characters of Viraj and Yashna.
How was your experience working with Nani?
Nani is very supportive. He provided valuable suggestions during the shoot. Working with him helped me better my performance. It was absolutely great working with him. I am looking forward to the audience enjoying our chemistry on screen.
What challenges did you face during the shoot?
Lip-syncing a song, especially in Ammaadi, posed a bit of a challenge. I am not a professional singer. I must ensure each word is perfectly synced to the tune.
How important is music in Hi Nanna?
Music is crucial, and Hesham provided excellent music. Every song became a chartbuster and especially Ammaadi was received pretty well. The background music is also wonderful, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
Do you wish to be part of Telugu web shows?
At present, my entire focus is on Telugu films. I am trying to maintain a balance between Telugu and Hindi projects. Web series require more time and language facility.
Could you tell us about your new projects?
I am working on Family Star and a few other Hindi projects. I am listening to a few Telugu stories. It takes time to come across a good one, and I have signed nothing for now.
