If the story is good I will work with any director

So many are asking me why I did this film with a new director even after giving a hit film in Chalo. I never treat things in such a way as the story is what is important for me. If the script is good things will fall into place automatically. I believe in the concept and if anyone comes to me with a good story, I have no objection is working with newcomers.

I play a gay character in the film

The moment I heard the story, I enjoyed it thoroughly as an audience. Nartanasala is all about my role as the gay guy who falls in love with two girls. Is he really a gay or acts like that, you need to watch the film to find out.

The @ in the title has a little story behind it

After hearing the story the entire team was confident that we should name the film Nartanasala. But my dad told me that several films with the same title were called off even before going on to the sets in the past. To break the jinx, we added @ in the title which looks fashionable and contemporary.

I heard this script in 2013

I heard the story of the film in 2013 and liked it very much. But I couldn’t do it that time. Then, when we started our home banner, Srinivas came to me again before Chalo. I promised to do this project with him and now we are here ready with the release.

Home production is always stressful

I am very stressed out while working on my home production. There is a lot of money which is riding on my shoulders and if the film flops, I cannot see my parents get disappointed as they have invested money and belief in the project. My mother is my biggest critic and if she likes the film, it will be a big hit.

Sagar Mahati is my close friend

Music director Sagar Mahati is my very close friend. He gave super hit music for Chalo and same is the case with this film as well. He is giving music three of my other films and he will be a name to reckon with in the future.
