The Ghost is up for a release tomorrow and on this occasion, we caught up with Nagarjuna for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.
What attracted you to this film?
The basic story of the film is quite interesting. The manner in which the presentation was given to me by Praveen gave me so much curiosity to do the film right away. Also, the backstory to my character was quite interesting. The action with emotion is what drew me to this film.
About the special training for the film?
I underwent a lot of training for the action part. Along with me, Sonal also underwent training with me. The stylish action and how the emotion is added with a pinch of salt is superb. I have seen the film and loved it completely.
Competition with Chiranjeevi?
The releases were planned in advance and as both the films are festival releases, I am sure both of them will be big hits. The Godfather also looks quite good and I wish Chiru garu all the best.
Working with the likes of Praveen Sattaru?
He has been travelling with me for a long time. I wished to work with him and he came up with this story. A few days back, I watched the film and was shocked with his work. I am sure that his work will impress one and all.
Reason behind releasing the film yourself in a few areas?
It was a conscious decision and it will surely help the producers. I am super confident that the film will do well and impress the younger generation as well.
Difference between Wild Dog and The Ghost?
Both the films are poles apart. The manner in which the story, action, and backdrops are set is completely different. My roles are also so much different and you won’t get reminded of Wild Dog.
About your 100th film?
As of now, preparations are in full swing. Scripting is also on and only time will tell which script I will pick up in the days to come.
About the low TRP for Bigg Boss 6?
I was even surprised to see the low TRP’s. The amount of viewership has decreased but the OTT audience has grown big time. This is a welcome change and as they are super happy, I am also content with the response.
