Young actor Nikhil who is in superb form would be next seen in the film 18 Pages. The film has the gorgeous beauty Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead. Palnati Surya Pratap is directing the film. Produced by GA2 Pictures and Sukumar Writings, the film is up for a grand release in theaters on December 23, 2022. Ahead of the film’s release, we had a brief interaction with the film’s director. Here is the transcript.
What’s the reason behind having a huge gap between Kumari 21F and 18 Pages?
After my first film, Current, got completed, I joined under Sukumar Garu’s writing team. During this Sukumar, Garu got the idea of Kumari 21F, and I was given the chance to direct it. The film went on to become a huge blockbuster. After that, I worked for Rangasthalam and Pushpa films thinking they would help me. My journey with Sukumar Garu taught me a lot.
Why did you select this story after Kumari 21F?
The film’s plot is about the journey of the characters. All kinds of emotions are part of the film as we enter the film’s world. Hence I selected this story after Kumari 21F.
Will this love story be different?
It is not a regular feel-good love story. It would have full emotions, and the film would make the audience question themselves while they watch it for two hours. But, there will be fun, a feeling of connection, and most importantly audience will keep anticipating what happens next. The ending is sure to stay with you for a long time.
Nikhil now has immense fame after Karthikeya 2. Did you make any changes accordingly?
We treated the story the way it was, and we, as a team, believe in it. Sukumar Garu taught me that story is the only thing that matters. As Nikhil is a PAN Indian star, I had to make some changes, but not they aren’t related to the story. Nikhil, too, believes in the story and says that we need to respect the story that we tell the audience.
How is your working experience with Geetha Arts?
It is my honor to have been associated with Geetha Arts. I will proudly say that I worked for Geetha Arts when someone asked me. When someone brings a story to Geetha Arts, they won’t compromise on it. Vasu Garu and Allu Arvind Garu are experts in planning production.
