Interview : Pragya Jaiswal – Kanche will give me a huge recognition as an actor

Young heroine Pragya Jaiswal, who made her debut with ‘Mirchi Lanti Kurrodu’, is currently the most talked about heroine in the industry. She will be seen as Seetha Devi in Krish’s upcoming war drama ‘Kanche’. On the eve of the film’s release, we caught up with Pragya for a detailed interview. Let’s see what she has to say.

Q) How did you bag this film?

Sometime back, I went to audition for Krish’s Bollywood film ‘Gabbar Is Back’. Even though I did not got selected, Krish was impressed with my photo shoot and asked to once again audition for Kanche. That is how I was selected.

Q) Tell us about your role in Kanche?

I play the character of Seetha Devi, who hails from a rich family. I appear as a princess who has strong values and speaks her mind.

Q) How did you prepare for the role ?

As I play a princess in the film, I took a lot of care regarding my looks, body language and mannerisms. I also watched many English and Hindi films to get the feel of my character.

Q) How was it working with Mega hero Varun Tej ?

I am very lucky to act alongside Varun Tej. He is a very jovial and energetic person. Varun easily gets into his character and showcases superb emotions. He has done a superb job in this film and will impress everyone.

Q) How was it working with Krish ?

Krish is a brilliant director and a tough task master. He gets what he wants and it was a great experience working with him where I got learn so much from him. He is like my god father and has given me a huge break in the industry.

Q) Your début film was a flop. What did you learned from your failure?

Though, my debut film flopped, I was appreciated as an actor. I have learnt a lot from its failure and will cover it up with ‘Kanche’.

Q) Can you narrate the toughest part during the shooting of Kanche ?

There are many scenes which I felt were very tough. While shooting for a scene, I have to see in the sky and I should not even blink my eye even if the rain drops falls into my eyes. Shooting for this scene was actually one of the most toughest part of the film.

Q) What was the best compliment you received from mega family ?

On the very first day of shooting, Naga Bagu sir said that I am looking like a princess in real life. He even compared me with veteran actress Kanchana. His compliments gave me a huge boost.

Q) What are your future projects ?

As of now, I am eagerly awaiting the release of Kanche and I will announce my Telugu projects pretty soon.
