Interview : Producer Benny Muppaneni – Drama and comedy are the highlights of Bedurulanka 2012

Kartikeya and Neha Sshetty starrer Bedurulanka 2012 is scheduled for a release in theaters this Friday. On this occasion, we met with the film’s producer Benny Muppaneni for a brief interview. Here is the transcript.

 

Tell us about Bedurulanka 2012

Fear plays a crucial role in the film, leading us to name the title Bedurulanka 2012. The story unfolds in an imaginary village over 21 days in 2012. While the backdrop is set in 2012, the entire film doesn’t occur in that timeframe. The core theme revolves around living authentically and confronting life’s final moments.

 

How did Clax convince you?

I believe every story needs that unique X factor to captivate audiences. Clax narrated the story to me during the Colour Photo shooting days, and I was immediately impressed and decided to produce.

 

Working experience with Kartikeya

I’m very pleased with Kartikeya’s professionalism and performance. I encountered no issues while working with him. I’m even eager to collaborate with him again.

 

Tell us about characters in Bedurulanka 2012

Kartikeya portrays a character with an easygoing nature. Neha Sshetty plays a village girl and she is Kartikeya’s love interest since childhood. I suggested Neha to Clax for the heroine’s role. The film boasts diverse characters; each has its character arc. Drama and comedy will be the movie’s highlights.

 

Ram Charan’s reaction to the movie’s trailer?

Ram Charan showed interest in the story before releasing the trailer. He appreciated the concept and praised the chemistry between the lead actors.

 

Future projects?

We have three more projects in the pipeline, including two concept-oriented films and a major project. I’ll make official announcements after the release of Bedurulanka 2012.
