Rashi-Khanna

Talented beauty, Raashi Khanna is making the right moves in Tollywood. After scorching the screens in Shivam, she is back with her latest film Bengal Tiger. On this occasion, we caught up with her for a detailed interview. Let’s see what she has to say.

Q) How did you bag Bengal Tiger ?

Our director, Sampath Nandi saw Jil and approached me for this role. I asked a brief narration about my character and after listening to the script, I immediately agreed to do the film.

Q) Tell us about your role in the film ?

I play a girl called Shraddha who is quite frank and shares a beautiful relationship with her father. Rao Ramesh plays my dad and all our scenes have come out extremely well.

Q) How was the whole experience of working for Bengal Tiger ?

Bengal Tiger is huge film for me and I had a blast working with both Ravi Teja and Tamannah. The script is quite entertaining and I hope that it will be a huge hit.

Q) Were you apprehensive doing the second lead beside Tamannah ?

Absolutely not. I was well aware of my role and I learned so much from Tamanah. She treated me like her own sister and helped me a lot with my dances and make up.

Q) How did you match your energy levels with Ravi Teja ?

After working with him, I have become a even bigger fan of Ravi Teja. He is like a bomb and is so energetic off and on screen. I tried hard to match up to his energy levels and our chemistry has come out well especially in the songs.

Q) Off late, you are seen more in glamour roles. Why ?

Nothing wrong in that. I would like to balance my roles and do both glam and de-glam roles. In fact, I was loved more in my de-glam look in Oohalu Gusagusalade.

Q) Were you upset with the failure of Shivam ?

See ! failures are very important. We get to learn from the mistakes and get better with time. With Shivam, I groomed myself as an artist and improved my acting capabilities.

Q) What about your Bollywood plans ?

I have shifted to Hyderabad now and my entire concentration is on Telugu films. I am not in a hurry to enter Bollywood and am taking things one at a time.

Q) You seem to have lost weight. Any particular reason ?

It is nice to be fit na. I am working hard on my looks and am trying new things with my costumes and performance. I feel that with every film one needs to keep improving.

Q) How is your film Supreme shaping up ?

That is one film I am so excited about. I get to play a cop in the film and my character will have a complete comic touch to it.
