Q) How is the response for your film ?
The response has been amazing and I thank the audience for making our film such a huge success. Gopichand and Raashi Khanna’s love track has come in for a huge praise and I am so happy with the reviews.
Q) How did you bag this film ?
I am from Vizag and shifted to Hyderabad for the love of films. I joined Chandra Sekhar Yeleti and assisted him for many of his films. During the shooting of Saahasam, I got close to Gopichand and narrated the script to him. He liked the story and pitched it to UV Creations and the project went on floors.
Q) Whose idea was it to present Gopichand in a stylish way ?
Right from the scripting stages, we had a clear idea that Gopichand will be showcased in a new look. His fire officer’s role helped us immensely and major credit should go to the designer Bhaskar for giving Gopi such a posh look.
Q) The villain Kabir has also come in for a huge praise. Tell us about him ?
He is surely one of the major highlights of the film. We went through a lot of profiles and finally selected Kabir from Mumbai. He has done a superb job and prepared for nearly four months for his role.
Q) What was Prabhas’s reaction when he watched the film ?
He was the first person to watch the film and he complimented me for the way I narrated the film in such a stylish way. His compliments gave me a huge boost.
Q) What kind of films do you want to make in the future ?
I am a big fan of love stories and actions films and would love to explore different genres in film making.
Q) What are your future projects ?
I have been getting a lot of offers after Jil but nothing has been finalized yet.
