Megastar Chiranjeevi, in collaboration with hit machine Anil Ravipudi, is all set to entertain audiences with the wholesome family entertainer Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. Adding to the excitement, Victory Venkatesh will be seen playing a key role in the film. Produced by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela under the banners of Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments, the film features Nayanthara as the female lead, while Smt. Archana is presenting the project.
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is slated for a grand worldwide release on January 12 as a Sankranti festive treat. Ahead of the release, producers Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela shared details about the film during a press meet.
The movie wrapped up the censor formalities, right? What’s the report?
The film received a very good report. Censor board members thoroughly enjoyed it. They said it’s a clean family entertainer that can be watched by audiences of all age groups.
Sushmita garu, did you feel any pressure during the process since it is a big film?
This is a milestone project, and I feel elated to be a part of it. Since Anil garu came up with Chiranjeevi garu’s core genre, the impact has been even more solid. It’s been a beautiful journey with Sahu garu. I enjoyed the whole process, and I hope to collaborate with him again.
Sahu garu, tell us about Chiranjeevi garu’s character in the movie.
The trailer just gives a hint of how his character will be. Chiranjeevi garu’s role is filled with fun, action, emotion, and commercial elements. The comedy scenes featuring Chiru garu and Venky garu came out superbly. The movie has loads of entertainment, and it’s an understatement to call the movie a Sankranthi treat. I watched the film, and hence I am very confident.
Since there are many films for Sankranthi, will there be any shortage of theatres?
We have running distributors and our film has been in the Sankranthi race from the beginning. Since many movies are slated for release, there might be slight issues. However, we don’t have any problem regarding theatres.
Will Chiranjeevi garu participate in the promotions?
Currently, he is busy with post-production and dubbing work. Chiru sir will be free from tomorrow. The pre-release event is scheduled for tomorrow. Both Chiranjeevi garu and Venkatesh garu will attend it. Later, Chiru garu will also be involved in the promotional activities.
Will the movie have premieres? Also, what can the audience expect from the film?
We will reveal the details about the premieres after getting clarity about the ticket rate hikes. We have all grown up watching Chiranjeevi garu’s films. Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu will contain all those elements that have been missing from his films lately. The entertainment will be on another level.
