Sharwanand and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu is all set to hit screens this Friday. On this occasion, we met with the film’s producer Sudhakar Cherukuri for a brief interview. Here is the transcript.

What made you do this movie?

When I was thinking about what kind of movie I need to do next after Padi Padi Leche Manasu, director Tirumala Kishore approached me and narrated a family story, which is Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu. I liked it very much instantly and said okay to produce it. Actually, the movie’s release was delayed for 6 months because of the pandemic.

Tell us about Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu?

Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlyu is a perfect family entertainer and in the meantime, it has other aspects that will entertain audiences for sure. I believe that the movie will make family audiences come back to theaters after the pandemic. To say, the movie is releasing in the USA in more than 300 screens.

Tell us about your bond with Sharwanand?

Sharwanand treats me as a brother and vice versa. We never behaved like an actor and a producer on or off the sets. Our relationship is so good even after the failure of Padi Padi Leche Manasu. Sharwanand is always ready to do a movie with me.

Working experience with the director and others?

He is a talented director and is producer-friendly. More than that, he is also like a family member to me. Rashmika Mandanna acted very well in this movie, Besides, senior actresses, Radhika, Khushbu and Urvashi also performed very well. Devi Sri Prasad gave excellent music for this movie.

Tell us about your journey?

After completing my bachelor’s degree, I went to the USA to run a software company. I returned to India after my daughter was born and started producing movies. Though we faced a failure with Padi Padi Leche Manasu, I never stepped back to produce movies because I love movies a lot.

Future projects?

I have some dream projects but they will take a lot of time to happen. Currently, I am doing Virata Parvam, Ramarao On Duty and Dasara. An update about Virataparvam will be out this week.
