Nitro star Sudheer Babu and Krithi Shetty starrer Aa Ammayi Gurunchi Meeku Cheppali is up for a huge release tomorrow worldwide. Mohanakrishna Indraganti helmed this flick that is produced by Benchmark Studios. Ahead of the release, we had a brief interview with Sudheer Bab. Here is the transcript.
Why Indraganti Mohanakrishna is making films with you back-to-back?
As I said in the pre-release event this film has chosen us, instead of we opting for it. Indraganti Garu believed in me and came up with his new stories. He isn’t a director who looks for stars rather he looks for someone who fits his story as an actor. I am fortunate to work with Indraganti Garu.
The backdrop of AAGMC and Sammohanam looks same. What’s your take on this?
No, it isn’t the same. Once you watch the film you will get to know about it. The love story and treatment will be entirely different from that of Sammohanam. AAGMC is a family drama.
How will be the music by Vivek Sagar?
Vivek Sagar understands Indraganti Garu very well. He got good scope for this movie. It’s basically a test for Vivek Sagar and he will surely prove his mettle again.
Tell us about your association with Krithi Shetty?
She is a very good actress. Her maturity is simply superb at this very small age. She understands the characters very well. This movie will give the opinion that Krithi will be apt for any kind of role.
Did you feel the title to be a bit lengthy?
No, it is perfectly the right title for this story. We had the same in our minds from the very beginning. We added the “Meeku” word to give it a more feel and this is the director’s choice.
Do you have thought of wielding the megaphone?
Initially, I haven’t had that thought. But now I feel like directing a film. I used to write a few scenes which worked and I developed an interest in it. I have a few ideas in mind and I need to work on them. I wanted to do inspiring films.
Tell us about your future projects?
After AAGMC, I am doing Hunt in Bhavya Creations and Maama Mascheendra in Suniel Narang’s Asian Cinemas, and also a project in UV Creations. Also, I am doing a film with Sehari director Gnanasagar. Maama Mascheendra and Hunt are nearing completion.
