After a gap, Vishnu Manchu is back to entertain audiences with the horror comedy Ginna. Directed by Suryaah, the film will hit the screens this Friday. Sunny Leone and Payal Rajput are the female leads. AVA entertainment, in association with 24 Frames Factory, bankrolled this project. Ahead of the film’s release, we met with the female lead Sunny Leone for a brief interview. Here is the transcript
What made you act in Ginna?
This is the first time I am acting in a full-fledged role in a Telugu film. I heard this story during lockdown time. I am happy to work under Mohan Babu sir’s production and to share screen space with Vishnu. This is a psychological thriller, and I like these kinds of stories. Hence I acted in Ginna.
How will your role be in Ginna?
I am playing Renuka in Ginna, who is deaf and dumb. This is a very challenging role for me. The film has a huge star cast whose characters would be very different.
Your opinion about social media trolling?
We did a few reels and prank videos. I, along with Vishnu and Payal, did entertaining reels, which got a good response from the audience. I do not read adverse comments on social media. I would take the positive comments and grow up in my career. Not just me, almost everyone would face this.
How was the working experience with the Ginna team?
Vishnu is an energetic person, and acting with him was very comfortable for me. Also, I feel happy to work with Payal. I had the chance to experience Hyderabad biryani. Vishnu’s family gave me excellent hospitality, and director Suryaah could smoothly extract the performance he wanted from me.
About your future projects?
Currently, I have four projects on hand, which are pretty different from each other. I am inquisitive about them as well. I am doing a de glamourous role in a Hindi film under the direction of Anurag Kashyap. I hope that people will like Ginna, which comes with a good concept.
