The audio of Sarrainodu is a massive hit as all the songs have caught up big time. On this occasion, we met Thaman, who is the man behind this for a detailed interview. Let’s see what he has to say.

Q) The audio has caught on well. How do you feel ?

I feel so relieved as there was a huge pressure to score a hit album after Race Gurram. The masses are loving the songs and I feel that it will help the film big time.

Q) What were Allu Arjun’s inputs for this film ?

Bunny has a superb taste in music and is quite updated with the taste of the audience. All he wanted was some hit numbers which would be loved by the masses and classes alike.

Q) Telusa Telusa has clicked well. Tell us about its composition ?

I always love composing romantic numbers. Whenever I get a situation like this, I make sure that I go all out and compose a rocking tune. Telusa Telusa is one song which was okayed instantly. What made the song even more bigger hit was the sensational singing by Jubin and Sameera Bhardwaj.

Q) How was it working with Boyapati ?

I was in a lot of tension as to how I would impress a tough task master like Boyapati. We met a lot of times in Chennai and discussed about the music. Within a week, we were in tune with each other and composed some rocking music.

Q) How do you choose your singers ?

It all depends on each project. For example, I always wanted to work with Vishal Dadlani from Bollywood. The way he has sung Atikloka Sundari and made the song his own, speaks volumes of his talent. What’s more interesting is that he sang the song in just half an hour.

Q) How do you deal with competition in Tollywood ?

Whenever someone scores a hit album, it scares me big time. Especially for item numbers, the pressure is even more. If one music composer scores a hit number, I need to out do him and compose a even better number. I love competition and it is quite necessary for us to give a greater output.

Q) How do you deal when there is heavy criticism thrown at you ?

See, it is not only me who decides the tunes or lyrics. There are so many people involved and I feel that sometimes, they should also take the responsibility for a bad song.

Q) When are you going to act again ?

We are planing a sequel to Boys. It will be like a reunion of sorts and the project will kick off in two months time. I myself will act and compose music for the film.

Q) Any Bollywood plans ?

Yes ! I would love to make my debut in Bollywood and am waiting for that one opportunity which will take me there.

Q) You stay away from remixes. Why is that so ?

I feel that one should not play with the original. Old is always gold and I am personally against remix numbers. It is very hard to recreate that magic and I mostly stay away from them.

Q) Your upcoming projects ?

I am doing Gopichand Malineni’s next with Sai Dharam Tej.
