418 is an upcoming horror thriller produced by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by Prashanth Neel. Directed by debutant Kirtan Nadagouda, the movie generated buzz among audiences with its promotional content. Chaitra J Achar, Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, Preethi Pagadala, Shashank Patil, and Ramesh Indira play key roles in the film.
At a recent press meet, a journalist asked Mythri Ravi Shankar why the movie wasn’t being promoted properly. The producer replied, “It is a horror film. We conducted a private screening in Bombay where the majority liked 418 calling it extraordinary. We have a strong belief in the content. It’s a pure horror film. We saw horror comedies like Maddock Universe and Prema Katha Chitram. It’s been a long time since we saw a proper horror film.”
He added, “We wanted 418 to thrive on word of mouth. The horror genre itself carries craze, and we have planned paid premieres for the movie. People will talk about Chaitra J Achar’s performance in it for some time. If the movie scares you, it is superhit. We want the content to do the talking. Anil Thadani garu was heavily impressed with 418 and we planned a simultaneous release for it in Hindi as well.”
